I wanted to shoot down on the South coast, so it was the perfect excuse to pop down when we decided where to shoot with Charlotte & David. We went for a walk about around Old Portsmouth, the colours and textures around there & South Sea made for some great inspiration for photos.
I love to travel around, explore new areas and look down every alley way and side street. So Charlotte & Dave were happy to humour me, stroll around and explore, I do this on my holidays all the time and I’ll be the first to admit it’s probably pretty annoying! While we were exploring I documented their relationship in the weeks prior to their wedding in Hampshire, at The Aviator Hotel in Farnborough.
I met Charlotte & Dave in 2015 while I was shooting their good friends wedding. Dave and myself had a very, very long conversation about photography, he is a photographer himself so was glad to have someone to geek out with that day. Charlotte is a great artist, so was attracted to my photographic style. And I loved the sound of their wedding plans at The Aviator Hotel, I knew Charlotte would organise the day with heaps of taste & style so I needed no convincing to shoot their journey.
