The Elvetham Relaxed Summer Wedding.
These guys are the kind of guys who know exactly what they want. I first heard from Jamie & Kelsy by email, and they were already very confident about the kind of photography they were looking for, they knew they wanted authenticity and images they will be able to look back on, and relive the story of their day.
The same goes for their choice of venue, The Elvetham Hotel in Hampshire. A huge, beautiful family owned estate and one of Hampshires many beautiful wedding venues. They once visited the hotel and knew straight away that this is where they wanted to hold their day. You can take your time looking for your perfect wedding venue, but sometimes, when you know you just know.
The Wedding Day
So the day arrived, and it was a beatiful perfect English Summers day at the Elvetham Hotel. Kelsy and her squad were getting ready in a spacious bright room, there was an energy in the air, and seemingly no nerves at all. I don’t think Kelsy does nerves!Over on the other side of the estate, Jamie on the other hand, did seem to be on the nervous side. Both these guys are all about energy and excitment though, so any nerves were fended off with their strong positive attitude. The day was all about fun (and quite alot of Gin), a classic wedding by theme but a modern attitude to everything else.
Later on that evening, heart felt speeches really stirred some emotions. However, It didn’t take long for the relentless fun to return, as Jamie toasted the end of the speeches by drinking from his shoe, as one does!
It was a pleasure for me to spend the day with these two, and their frineds and family. They really know how to have fun, and an effortless positivity and style to the whole day was a joy for me to shoot.
Thank you guys, it was a whole lot of fun!
There’s loads of space for a wedding at the Elvetham Hotel, plenty enough for a squad like this to have fun and get ready in the morning!
It’s easy to see why Jamie & Kelsy fell in love with The Elvetham wedding venue. It was one of was the first venues they saw, and they fell in love with the classic architechture and stunning interior, and they knew it was the perfect place for them. As some of their guests were coming from overseas it was important that those guests had the easy option of staying at the venue. For that same reason of overseas guests, it was important that the whole day could be in one place, so that transportation between ceremony and reception venues was not an issue.
